Boxwood Equestrian was established in 2023 by owner and head trainer, Ali McCool. Located 50 minutes from downtown St. Louis and 20 minutes from the National Equestrian Center, we offer hunter/jumper riding lessons, board and training, show leases, show services, professional rides, and clinics.

Ali McCool
Owner & Head Trainer
As the Owner/Founder and Head Trainer of Boxwood Equestrian, Ali strives to lead a program personalized for all skill levels, equipping her students with the skills needed to achieve their goals. Influenced by horsemen like Julie Winkel, Sarah Duhon and Linda Allen, her training program is founded on an advanced knowledge of horse care and management. Her goal is to create comfort and confidence to achieve peak performance for horse and rider.
Lily Wilkins
Trainer
Riding since she was young, Lily brings unique and special skills with her ability to connect with our younger generation of riders. She is also deeply attentive to the horses' needs, and helps with Boxwood's exceptional individualized rider and horse attention.
Keeva
Chief Canine Officer
Keeva is the real manager of the barn, patrolling the facilities to make sure everything is up to her standards. She is an expert at finding the best nap spots and loves after-lesson zoomies in the indoor and outdoor arenas. She is the sweetest pupper who loves her back scratches. Ali is her mom.
Margaret
Morale Manager
Margaret (Marg) is an adventurous pup who can often be found roaming around and soaking up the sun. She enjoys watching lessons outside from under the gazebo and receiving all the pets. If you give her scratchies, she will follow you around for more. Lily is her mom.
